We are proud to host TXST's only annual, university-wide essay contest! Submit your best essay from any course in spring, summer, or fall 2025. Open to all majors and academic levels, judged by TXST faculty. Winners for each category receive a $100 award.
Deadline for submission is January 15, 2026.
Students may submit one essay, up to 25 pages, per category in up to two categories.
Submissions must be in .doc or .docx format. No other file types will be accepted.
NEW: We are excited to announce the creation of a new submission category specifically for creative writing projects. These projects must follow the submission guidelines above and must be associated with a TXST course.
**You may not submit a thesis.
Current or past UWC staff are ineligible to participate in any category.
