Whether you're working on school assignments, crafting the next award winning screenplay, or getting closer to your thesis or dissertation goals, Write Time is the perfect place for you. We’re excited to support your writing journey!
We meet both in-person inside the University Writing Center and on Zoom. Sessions are 2 hours and consist of 25-minute work blocks with 5-minute breaks in between to help writers maximize productivity during the two hours. New writers are always welcome so stop in any time, we'd love to see you!

The Creative Writers Circle at Texas State University, hosted through the Writing Center, is an in-person and Zoom-enabled community that welcomes writers of all genres and experience levels. Through sharing work, constructive critique, and engaging discussions, members not only broaden their own artistic vocabulary but also foster an environment of inclusivity and creative growth.

Join the University Writing Center for Write a Postcard Home, a come-and-go writing event for first-generation students, faculty, and staff.
On Thursday, April 30 from 12:30–2:00 PM in Academic Services Building North 100, Bobcats are invited to pause, reflect, and write a postcard to someone who has supported their college journey. Writing Center staff will model how to craft a simple, meaningful message and how to address a postcard.
No registration is required. A postcard and stamp will be provided.
